This month we start
right at the top - the North Pole.
Poor Santa Claus is feeling stressed and Mrs. Santa recommends
a trip to their favorite spot - The Sixth Avenue Neighborhood.
Listen, it's no more unlikely than that Tim Allen thing.

On a whirlwind tour
of the neighborhood we visit some of the Sixth Avenue's 14 restaurants
and 130 businesses that are within the 6 blocks we visit. A big
treat was our visit with Charlie McManus at El Primo where Charlie
showed us how to grill Swordfish. Nobody does it like Charlie
- and he gives lots of tips, too.

Artists are invited
to submit paintings for the important Tall Ships Art Show which
will take place this summer in Tacoma. We learned about it on
My Home Town. You can learn about it at Rainierleagueofarts.com

Two excellent and creative
schools in the Sixth Avenue Neighborhood are the Grant School
of the Performing Arts and Jason Lee Middle School.

Jason Lee is the only
middle school in the area - and the only one we know of - that
has a hot shop for creating glass art works. These beautiful works
are sold in the gift shop at the school.
